D-4 Approve Hearing Officer's Recommended Order Affirming Termination of Michael Ford (no public participation will be allowed on this item)
Issue/Rationale
Michael Ford, referred to herein as “Respondent”, appealed the Board’s initial approval of the Superintendent’s recommendation that he be terminated for cause. The hearing officer, Carol Studdard, after full hearing, has signed an Amended Recommended Final Order Including Findings of Fact and Conclusions of Law in which she recommends affirming the termination of Michael Ford for cause. It is up to the full Board to either (1) grant Respondent’s appeal, thereby rejecting the Superintendent’s and Hearing Officer Studdard’s recommendation, or (2) adopt Hearing Officer Studdard’s Recommended Final Order, thereby affirming the termination for cause.
Recommended Action
Adopt the Hearing Officer’s Amended Recommended Final Order as the Final Order, thereby affirming the termination.
